Transition Year Work Experience

recruitsladderdrill1
Each year some fulltime brigades primarily Dublin Fire Brigade takes on transition year students for work experience usually for one week in duration. Schools should contact the human resources section of the brigade for placements.

Students are never placed on operational fire appliances or ambulances both for health and safety reason and due to the nature of the work of the emergency services. In Dublin students are usually placed in the fire brigade training centre in Marino where they work around the centre assisting staff on who are teaching on fire and emergency medical courses.

If you are interested in a placement please contact the relevant Fire Brigade and their human resource department. l am unable to do this for you.

If you have any contact details for the relevant HR departments and permission to post them here please let me know as it will be of help to other students.

The contact e-mail for Dublin Fire Brigade is fire @ dublincity.ie
