Hi everyone,

I am based down south as a full time firefighter a number of years now,

I'd be interested in a swap to dublin fire brigade, if you want details and are interested feel free to email me at 123kid2014@gmail.com

Thanks 😀

Any luck with this? Are the transfers possible? I heard it's very difficult.
Judging by your lack of replies it's not happening?

Transfers are very possible and are mostly accomodated as long as a fast one isnt being pulled( getting rid of trouble makers) The best way is to make contact with DFB and put out feelers, maybe use contacts through the Unions or the FBSAI

How  rare  are  these  transfers ??,  and  are  they  possible  between  the  Full  time    brigades    like  Cork,  Limerick,  Galway,  Waterford.

Extremely rare. Chiefs don't want it. Especially if you want to go to DFB as they're paramedics.

For it to have a chance the person you swap with needs to be same rank , similar age etc.

Fire brigade needs to be nationalised. Full time lads are training in say cork then if they go DFB they've to do all the training again which is stupid.
