Hey Alan. Im a menber of the Order of Malta- Tramore unit. Only joined about a year ago & so far im enjoying it,learning alot so far. Hopeing it might help me get into the fire brigade, applied to the Waterford City Fire service jouring the week so im waiting now to see what happens.
IMO the vol. ambo services are great but its often a stuggle to provide full cover 365 days a year. Like you said intresting to see what the pro's think.....??? :)

Yea the thing i've noticed with omac is some people give 110% go to everymetting do duties etc then you get people who give about 10% just go to the odd duty here and there. But it as a vol org after allan people can give as much or as little as they like

Yep exactly! There are a few members who give up a huge amount of there time to do duties, call outs etc but some members rarely even show up for meetings...thats just the way it is with organisations like this i gess.

Having worked with OMAC at concerts in the past have to say i have a lot of respect for them. I know some Paramedics ignore them and wouldnt even salute them on the road but that says more for some full time paramedics than OMAC. But i think most good paramedics, both DFB and ERAS respect OMAC for freely giving up their time. Well done.
TODAY IS THE TOMORROW THE FIRE BRIGADE WORRIED ABOUT YESTERDAY..BUT DID NOTHING....
