Institution of Fire Engineeers
This is an international organisation which runs numerous fire
related courses primarily self study or part time and catering
for all levels of experience. Very popular with anyone in the
fire brigade, fire protection or fire prevention fields. They
hold regular seminars and exhibitions and have several branches
in Ireland.

Dublin Fire Brigade Training Centre The centre offers a whole variety of courses
which are listed on the Dublin
Fire Brigade Training Centre page.
The course are mainly aimed at groups aand range from fire warden
to ship firefighting, breathing apparatus wearer etc. The centre
has plans to greatly enhance the facilites on offer with a major
building program.
The centre also offers a whole range of emergency medicial courses.
Hibernian Healthcare who are based in Ballymount, Dublin have launched a new course called "The Access to Emergency Services Training Programme". The course runs both Full time and Part time. The full time programme comences Monday the 13th of September and runs for 9 weeks Monday to Friday and the Part time programme commences Tuesday 14th of September and runs every Tuesday, Thursday and all day Saturday for 16 weeks. The programme is designed to prepare participants when applying for a job in such services as the fire service, National Ambulance service, An Garda Siochana, The Defence forces and the Prison Service. Students will learn medical skills, Fire Fighting including Breathing Apparthus, Rope Rescue, Swift Water Techniques, Interview Preperation & CV Building, Garda Training plus many more Cavets.
